Grip carts are the coolest tool since the wheel was invented. And though the Maya didn't get around to it we have grip carts including Magliners right here. Each van comes with your choice of two carts, of course you can rent them a la carte. (lol)
Camera Cart (included with the vans) With a nice 3-way power supply clipped on and ready for power, your monitor, your camera bag and your sticks have a nice place to live between set ups. These are strong stainless steel metro racks set on 1" plywood bases with 8" pneumantic wheels.
C-Stand Cart (included with the vans) This dolly cart holds 6 built C-stands, saves your fingers and backs and lets you whisk from blow and go shot to shot.
Sand Barrow (2 each) A wheelbarrow that is superlight with a big floaty tire for the sand. Comes with umbrella holder and beachy umbrella. Available with optional stacking plastic crate for extras like those 7b power packs and apple boxes. Can be pushed by Continuity Person or underage PA. They also float and with proper deployment of umbrella can be sailed through light surf. Can also be used to transport truculent or petulant talent and/or producer. $US35 per day.
FoldIt Carts (3 each) Wonderful carts designed by yachties for transporting excessive amounts of ice, alcohol and dead fish. 150lbs is about ideal. They fold flat, you can put them in a 15pax with no problem. Draggable down any Riviera Maya beach by the skinniest supermodel. We even have a bicycle hitch for them. $US45 per day, Rockhopper is optional.
Magliners (2 each) Yep, we got Magliners, two for rent. Big tires, strong as oxen, two shelves. One is simple, one modified with cable hooks. $US45 per day but please not for the beach. Fit in elevators, 15 pax vans and have flat proof tires. $US55 per day.
Plyliners (2 each) Same as a Magliner, but made out of 3/4" waterproof plywood. Insanely strong, cheaper than the Magliners and they make hotel work just lovely. Fit in the elevators, too. Two for your production pleasure. $US35 per day.
Tricycle Pedal Carts (2 each) It sounds mad, but you know those three wheeled vendor carts you see all over Mexico? They rock for production in those massively lengthy Riviera Maya hotels. They even tone those thighs. Twice as fast as humping a regular cart and they'll handle a 4k Arri HMI or 20 C-Stands, bags and boxes without your breaking a sweat. Now with Plywood liners for stingers, header cables, hair extensions - whatever needs to pedaled to the set fast... $US65 per day.
